Last day in class to work on your mythology project.
If you're not done by the end of the hour: make sure you still have the PPT in your mail so you can access it from home. OR you may put your project on your USB/Flashdrive.
If you finish: Please email your project to me. ericksonchelsea@apps.district279.org
In the subject line write your first and last name and the name of your god.
You also need to turn in your rough draft sheet with your name/s on it!
Once you've emailed and handed in your rough draft you may work on something else. You can quietly read, do homework or play an online game. I will only allow you to be playing games on these websites:

Reflect and Change: Look back at your Outsiders Theme paper you shared with me on Google Docs. I've gone through and made comments and given you a score. Note: These HAVE NOT been entered in the grade book yet.
I'd like you to take some time to read through the comments I made throughout your paper and make some changes.
Please DO NOT resolve the comments from the side. I know it's nice to get rid of them once you've fixed the problem, but then, when I go back into the document, I have to re-open all of them. For some comments, when you fix them, it will automatically disappear. This is okay. I just don't want YOU to purposefully resolve them.
Once you're done you may log off, do not shut off, put the computer away NICELY and move on to the next agenda item for the day.
Reader Response: Please finish your response questions about fear from yesterday, if you are not already done.
1. STUDY: If you finish your reflection questions and still have some extra time, I would recommend making some Quizlet set cards to study for your Vocabulary Summative on Monday. Here is the link for the website. In order to save your cards you will need to make an account. I would suggest using your school email.

Today we started by practicing another inference activity. I was surprised by how many of you caught on so quickly to the "It says... I say... and so..." structuring. There were still a few that were having a tough time. No need to fret! We will continue to practice inferences for the majority of the school year.
Once we were finished with our inference activity, I gave you the remainder of the hour to read The Outsiders. Chapter 2 was to be completed by the end of the hour!
If you did not finish in class, I asked that you checked out a book. I hope everyone comes to class with chapter two finished for Tuesday.

Today in class we practiced another inference activity. The majority of the class seemed to do well finding the answer, but struggled a bit figuring out how to phrase the answer. Not a problem! We will continue to practice this throughout the remainder of the school year.
Once we were finished with our inference activity, I read aloud from The Outsiders for the remainder of the hour. Thank you to those of you that were paying attention while I read aloud.
